What is your favorite part about being an academic advisor: As a first-generation college student who didn’t receive a great deal of guidance on how to succeed in college, I enjoy sharing the lessons I’ve learned and helping students make the most of their academic experience. It’s incredible to see the transformation that students make during their time at the University of Colorado, and I love helping them to explore new opportunities.

Favorite quote: “If there is no struggle there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters.” –Frederick Douglass
