Hobbies/extracurriculars: CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ), piano, singing, hiking, running, reading, and an aspiring baker
Favorite book: Besides Harry Potter…The Little Prince…and The Night Circus (There’s too many good books, I can’t just choose one!)
Favorite place to eat in Boulder: Mmm…probably Boss Lady Pizza, because you gotta love that BBQ Chicken Ranch!
One interesting fact about you: I was adopted from China at 7 months old!
What is your favorite part about ENVD: I would have to say that my favorite part about ENVD is the strong community culture that exists. Students, faculty, and staff all get to know each other really well and the support system is so strong throughout our four years here. As painful as it sounds, I love the studio culture and getting to pull late nights with my friends in ENVD. It is a great bonding experience, and nothing beats the accomplishment felt after a final studio review. ENVD has allowed me so many opportunities to get connected and involved, while pursuing a degree and working on projects for classes I enjoy.
Favorite quote: “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
